Completed in 2002, Jubilee Park remains our flagship project – as the practice grows, so to does the landscape of this green oasis set within the heart of the Canary Wharf Development. The 24 pool water feature creates a soothing and glowing backbone to the park, which, surrounded by Metasequoia’s, remains a destination for people to sit, lunch, gather and play – practically what ever the weather.
We were appointed by Willerby Landscapes to provide full landscape detailed design and construction documentation for Chavasse Park – a large roof top open space and amenity park at the heart of the Liverpool 1 regeneration area. The quality of the park and the installation methodologies were recognised with the Grand Award at the BALI Awards in December 2008.
This re-restoration of a previously quarried and subsequently land-filled site provides a dynamic opportunity to turn unused grassland into flexible community open space with potential for sculpture park features and a matrix of landscape elements.
Working with talented product designers and innovative street furniture manufacturers, the Lusail Project provides evidence of the value of strong integrated design development – creative, yet technically feasible, unique and bespoke responses to coordinated community spaces and public realm identities.
From concept design, public consultation, planning consultancy, detailed design and tender documentation, through to construction, we have enjoyed preparing responsive public realm proposals for this historically important memorial garden.
Working as part of a specialist design team, on behalf of Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council, our attention to detail is called to the fore in the preparation of detailed metalwork and paving layouts, alongside water feature component coordination in the creation of this flagship feature at the centre of a new plaza.
