Westfield London, Phase 2

This significant extension to Westfield London located in Shepards Bush undertook to evolve the public realm scheme that spans over two levels. This site interfaces with the retail environment and various surrounding residential blocks. The scheme features a series of large public open spaces designed to cater for a range of events. These key public squares are linked via attractive streetscapes featuring contemporary raised planters, mature trees and high quality street furniture elements. 

ALD were responsible for the provision of the full range of Landscape Architectural services, working alongside other consultants to ensure coordination on complex items from concept design studies and visuals for client approval through to ongoing detailed construction drawings and at present site supervision. Challenges have included designing levels and buildups which respond to podium structures and Transport for London tunnels, and dealing with complex retail and residential building interfaces.
