A Lasting Legacy, Chelsea Flower Show

ALD were fortunate to be asked to support the Garden Club of America in celebrating its centennial  at Chelsea Flower Show with the creation of ‘A Lasting Legacy, Celebrating 100 Years of the Garden Club of America’ this was awarded a Silver-Gilt Medal.

The exhibit brought to life 100 years of the GCA and its role in evolving gardening, horticulture and conservation across the united states. The display offered an insight into the GCA’s pioneering work, from early efforts to save the redwood forests in California and its support of environmental scholarships.

The Lasting Legacy Display was based on the redwood forest, which was the GCA’s first conservation campaign. ALD realised the project through from its inception to completion for the weeks display at the show and finally removal off site once the show had ended, sourcing authentic plants and materials across the length and breadth of the UK.
