Claire Walsh BA(Hons) MLA CMLI

Associate Landscape Architect

Claire first joined ALD during her practice placement year in 2009, completing her Masters at the University of Sheffield in 2011, and winning the Landscape Institute’s Regional award in the process. Since re-joining ALD Claire has headed several prestigious schemes at Kings Cross, from Gasholder Park, to Streets and Roof Terraces, Claire has played a major part in the success of the award winning new landscapes and public realm, now filled with life in a renewed Kings Cross. Claire’s strengths lie in taking the design vision through to implementation via excellent communication skills and technical detailing, following through on client expectations and delivering quality. Claire has also had a major role on London Dock, where she has designed streetscapes, parks and water features currently undergoing construction.

Favourite Places: Studland Beach in Dorset – if it is sunny! Budapest – a must visit city.

 

Inspiration: The High Line – New York, Piet Oudolf / Nigel Dunnett Planting schemes
