Cannon Street Roof Terrace
welcome to applied landscape design
As committed, creative, inspired, technical minded designers, we are valued in any team, from high level public realm planning, to practical infrastructure delivery on the ground. From landscape scale assessment or interventions, to intimate gardens and terraces, our enviable portfolio demonstrates the breadth of experience built over the last 20 years.

A dynamic, progressive Landscape Architectural and Urban Design practice with a particular emphasis on design development through to the detailed design and executive Landscape Architectural role on a wide variety of projects. The company has the ability, and flexibility, to act as lead external works landscape architects, or to operate as a supporting consultancy on multi-disciplinary projects.  ALD enjoys repeat working with established teams and relishes the opportunity to forge new working partnerships. With established collaborations in the scientific, engineering, supplier and contractual fields, we thrive on working alongside and within multi-disciplinary teams, to evolve, procure and build workable, value for money design solutions.

Over the years ALD have had the privilege to design parks, open spaces gardens, streets & squares, roof terraces, logistics, commercial & corporate headquarters, retail developments, housing developments, health, learning & wellbeing and environmental projects both in the UK and Internationally. This has allowed ALD to develop an enviable reputation for attention to detail and for the production of practical yet innovative design solutions. This niche is increasingly recognised with a number of high profile recommendations for recent past and present projects.
